In the past week, we have been researching different charities in our community and when to call them. We have found heaps that do all sorts of different things. Our create task was to create a poster to promote a charity of our choice, I chose The Salvation Army. We created our posters on Canva. Here is the poster I created:

Samoan Alphabet Animation

Kia Ora,

Every Wednesday before technology we have a session for learning Samoan. This week we have been focusing on the alphabet, we created an animation to learn the alphabet. Her is my slide:

                                        As you can see the Samoan alphabet is a lot shorter than the English one but the pronunciation and the writing is similar to the Maori language.

Super Statistics

Hello Bloggers, 

This term, in numeracy, we are doing a statistical survey on sports. I have chosen to look at basketball with a focus on if the favourite player is the player that scores the most points or if it the opposite. 

Some interesting statistics I have already found out is that the most free throughs made ina game today is 6. This changes every day so make sure to go check out this website: Stats 

The question I asked to find that answer was what is the most free throughs in a game? Does this change every day?

Interesting Identity

Kia ora,
For the past week we have been looking into our family history, we created a slide and had to write about it. We had to talk to our parents and ask questions until we got lots of information.

I learned heaps about my family's history that I didn't know before the teachers set us this task.

Kia Ora readers,
Welcome back to my blog, hope you had a good summer and new year!
We are back at school and as it is a new year the teachers want to know more about us, their way of doing this is making us draw a portrait.

This year our portrait was based on the artist Romero Britto,
This is some of his work:


As you can see his work is very abstract and vibrant, the point of taking inspiration from him is that it didn't have to perfect and to exaggerate your features.






 Now here is mine: 

With my portrait, I exaggerated my eyes because people say I have big eyes and that my eyebrows are more pointy. My favorite tv shows are Riverdale, Stranger Things, and Brooklyn 99, I also like Harry Potter. I am born in NZ but am partly English, my favourite sport is soccer and I love dogs, there are a few more things on there that I enjoy like Mcdonalds and Tik Tok!
